Sunny Choi

I design and study human-centered technologies that bring together play, music, storytelling, and digital interaction. My work uses arts and technology to support learning, healthy aging, memory, digital inclusion, and social connection.

I bridge research and practice through more than a decade of international experience in educational technology and startups, a PhD from New York University, artistic work as a recording artist for Steinway & Sons, and two patented digital-learning technologies. My approach to human–AI interaction draws on research in improvisation, play, emotion, and learning to design experiences that remain responsive to human context.

I currently serve as a Senior Researcher at the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Jyväskylä, and Co-Founder of My Dog is the Best.
